A Hodgepodge of News

Guess where I've been? I've been in the mountains and let me tell you, this water is like ice water! Know where it was exactly?
Where the 1996 Centennial Olympics white water rafting was held. It was really pretty but the water level is really low.
Put 4 of these on Silva and off I went.
Saw lots of beautiful sights, this was one of my favorites.

Got to attend a birthday party that had the most delicious birthday cake!
Enjoyed this cute little gal every morning bright and early and enjoyed
some beautiful flowers. I went to a parade, too. Shopped in 3 new yarn shops and bought some yarn. Bought some glassware in 2 antique shops and came home tired, broke and happy. Had so much fun I'm going back in July, maybe for 2 weeks this time. I didn't go totally alone. The Baby Girl went with me. Where? To the Georgia Mountains to visit my parents. What a great week. Can't wait to go back.

I sat out on the front porch every morning starting at 7 a.m. and knit till we got moving, usually around 10:30 or 11 each morning. I've been working on this...... I have all the squares done and a few inches of the side/bottom edging. It's a really nice design and I enjoyed crocheting them. It's been a long time since I've done a granny square, and vowed to never do another one, but this one is alot of fun and totally different. I did a few afghans way back when with those granny squares and believe me, they get old after about 75 of them. Pictures of this soon, when it's all done and put together. The pattern is in the Interweave Crochet magazine, Spring 2007.

We've been up to see our Baby Boy for 4 days, before the mountain trip. We're leaving this week for another meet up with our Baby Boy, this time in Athens. They're really loving this skeet shooting thing. The Baby Girl is going this time, too, and she's going to be there button pusher (there's a name for it but BTB is snoring away over here and I don't want to wake him to ask. She'll push the buttons on the machines that throw the skeets). I love the long weekends with nothing to do but knit. Maybe I'll actually get something done this weekend. Seems I'm not making much progress with knitting. I knit something and half way thru I rip it out.

So, I'll be back in a week or 2 with more pictures and hopefully some knitting. I've got alot of yarn to show, but no knitting yet.

Happy Knitting!
