My Favorite Season

Summer is my favorite time of year and I'm always doing something so my blog is the one that suffers. It's always on my mind that I need to sit and write what I'm working on but I just don't sit and do it. I'm reading your blogs though, and enjoying all your work.

I joined the Mystery Stole 3 KAL and wow! Last year it was a busy bunch but this year it's huge and a really busy bunch. I have my yarn, my beads are on the way and I even ordered small crochet hooks so I don't have to worry about damaging my Great Grandmother's very, very old ones.

My LYS is closing! What a surprise, but, she's moving back to her hometown so that's nice. Everything in her store has been 50% off so guess whose been shopping; twice? How can you pass up all that great yarn at 1/2 off? I can't. I bought enough yarn to make 7 sweaters, 2 or 3 shells and 2 shawls. I even got the Zephyr for my MS3 there and it's almost the right color.

I finished a shell and finished a bag for the Baby Girl. Pictures in the next post of both (if I'm not too lazy to get the camera out, summer makes me really lazy). Not going to start anything big for awhile so I can get a good head start on my MS3 project. That and the new Harry book is coming out, I'm trying to get the last 2 finished up so I'll be ready. The Baby Girl is getting antsy for the movie. It's nice that we're both reading them and both enjoy the movies. Melanie is even skipping a clue for the stole that week so we can all get our "fix" of Harry Potter. Thanks Melanie!

Hope everyone's having a great summer. I am, but I still need to get to the beach. I miss the beach!

Happy Knitting!

The movie looks like it's going to be amazing! And I can't wait for the new book to come out. We may have to buy two copies so my daughter and I can read it at the same time! :)

Ugh I just got on to read new comments you got and I wrote one the day you wrote this and it's not up there. Sheez. That's what I get for writing a long one.
Anyway, glad you got the bargains from your going out of business store.
Love you!

Sounds like you got some great bargains on yarn. I am sure you are sad they are closing. I have not been to the beach yet. We are on vacation the first week of July. Hope to get there then. Enjoy your summer.
